How much does Speech and Debate Club Cost?
We will be doing speech and debate fees differently this year. Instead of hunting down tournament fees for every tournament, we will be doing a 1 time member fee. This will cover necessary NSDA fees, 1 category entry for all tournaments T-shirt, & 1-2 fun activities.

I can't afford the member fee, can I still join?
There are many ways to afford the fee. We are set up to accept all major credit cards, GooglePay, Cashapp, as well as Afterpay. Afterpay allows you to make 4 interest free payments. Also, if you participate in the Summer Calendar Sponsorship. Filling the calendar with sponsors will cover your member fee. We will not turn away a student passionate about speech and debate. Why pay a fee if I we do fundraisers?
The fee up front makes it easier for us to register your student for tournaments & plan ahead. If a student genuinely needs financial assistance, we will use fundraising funds to cover their fee. Fundraising will help us with many things.
We plan to attend one overnight tournament. We will use some of our funds to assist with that if needed. We will do 1-2 fun activities. Also, if we qualify for Nationals it is a 4-5 day event in Virginia. We will need funds to assist bus fair, lodging, food and entry fees. If we qualify, we'll do all that we can to make the trip to Nationals in Virginia possible.

What if I want to double enter?
Fees cover 1 entry per tournament. If a student would like to enter in more than one category, they'll have to pay an additional entry fee before registration closes for that tournament. Entry fees vary by tournament.

What happens if we have left over funds at the end of the year?
All funds at the end of any tournament year will be rolled over into the following year.
How do I know where funds are going?
You will be given a receipt for any fee that you pay. We also will send out monthly reports on all expenditures.
